What to Expect
To begin your hormone balancing therapy, Dr. Harrington and her staff will use saliva and blood tests to examine all of your hormone levels, including those produced by the reproductive, thyroid and adrenal systems. After about 2 weeks, your results will be ready and you can learn about your options for hormone balancing. In some cases, you may be asked to take oral or topical supplements. You may also be asked to make some lifestyle adjustments to get the full benefits of your hormone therapy.
Individual results will vary, but most people will notice changes in the way they feel after about 2 months of their hormone balancing program. At this point, our professionals will ask you to come in for a follow-up appointment, during which she may decide to retest your hormone levels to ensure that the program is being effective. Depending on these results, she may adjust your plan before having you continue with hormone balancing therapy. You’ll also be able to learn about long-term lifestyle adjustments you can make to maintain healthy hormone levels.
